TV Tuner



Intheairnet Ltd's TV Tuner has been
designed to receive general domestic
“off air” terrestrial television signals.
It has been developed specifically for
in-flight entertainment use and is
intended for only ground operation.
The basic unit incorporates a graphic
LCD screen with nine front panel
control buttons.

The LCD display shows the selected band, frequency and memory. The TV Tuner scans
each band and displays a bar graph indicating the location within the band. Indication is
displayed when a station has been found and the tuner has locked on to the center of
the signal. The buttons and their operation are listed below.

The TV Tuner can be controlled via the front facia switch panel, or remotely controlled
via the RS485 serial communications bus by means of one of our cabin management
system products. The rear of the unit is fitted with D-type connectors for power, RS485
bus, audio and video output and a BNC connector for antenna input. The audio level can
be adjusted by a potentiometer accessed through a hole located on the side of the unit.

A hexadecimal switch is provided on the rear panel for setting the RS485 address of the
unit if it is to be remotely controlled.
